=D It totally worked on my mom in high school. I just had to hum the chorus when she started going overboard complaining about "music these days" or whatever, and she'd stop for a while.

But you're right, there are lasting side effects. For instance, whenever I hear the song anymore (which admittedly isn't often) I have the strong desire to turn the radio off and punt a kitten into a wall.
