Uh, OP, there is no shame in not having a kid or being/getting married at 23. IMHO that is too early for any of that, any way.

Amen to this.

I'm 22 and most of my friends are married and/or have children. Sometimes I babysit their kids and think it would be nice to have some of my own. BUT NOT YET. I have so many things I want to do first; travel the world, finish university, get my dream job (or at least one I enjoy), buy a house and set my life up. Those will be bigger achievements for me. Not getting married and having kids.

This. I wish more people would realize it's not as easy to pack up, leave home, get your own place and have a grand ol' time as it once might have been.

I agree. Plus, you have to do that stuff in your own time, and you need to feel ready, rather than just doing it because everyone else is.
