(Anonymous) 2011-04-09 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)I'm one of those people with majorbad issues. But you know what? If you're my friend, I also care that you got cut off in traffic. The only time I start to get a bit miffed is if you try to minimize my problems ("i'm sorry you were abused, this is just like the time i stubbed my toe") or if you start playing the agony Olympics like the OP seems to be doing. it doesn't matter that my problems are "worse" than yours, it only matters when you start trying to be the victim because you don't have problems. I care about your traffic problems. I do.
Further, I don't need you to leave a caring comment on every post I make. My journal is for me to talk about my problems. You're not obligated to constantly pat me on the butt about them, I promise.
I don't need to "out-problem" you, but I don't appreciate you trying to take away my space to vent because it makes you uncomfortable.
