Sometimes it makes me feel like a bit of a failure too OP. Well no, failure isn't the right word...it's more like I feel like the odd man out, straggling behind my peers; they've found a spouse they love, popped out a baby or two, own a house, and are just so focused on family. Whereas I rent, don't have any marriage plans, and I know I don't want kids right now, if ever, because I am way too selfish of a person. I don't want to have to devote any of my income to taking care of a kid, let alone my free time. And I'm only 26!

So while I also feel like I'm missing something, it also boggles my mind that practically every person I knew from high school is married with children now, most of them never having left our hometown!! I seriously don't understand it. I would never move back there if I could help it...how is it they actually want to settle down there? lol.

Just gotta keep telling yourself everyone goes through life at their own pace. The family plan just isn't for you yet. Enjoy it!
