Honestly, I've never been fond of looking at marriage as a milestone. At least not if you want to get married primarily for love. I see it as a decision to be made (or not made) when you really love someone and are at the point where you know you want to be a family with them. I would rather look at it like that than as a life event that must be completed by a certain age.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a different path when it comes to marriage or starting a family. Some people do fall in love young, get married, and are happier than they would have been had they done anything else. But that's hardly a universal experience. My parents didn't get married until they were in their thirties, and then were married for a few years before having me -- that was the best thing for them. They were glad they got to live independently, and then live as a couple before becoming parents.

I turn 23 this year, and honestly, I'm more than content not to settle down with anyone for a good while.
