Maybe I'm just not remembering the pilot well enough, but I don't remember Ryerson actually being inappropriate with a student (I forget the word that's essentially pedophilia for teens instead of kids). I seem to remember that whole scene looking like Rachel being an opportunistic, lying bitch. It's not like she's never lied to get things to go her way before (sending the competition to a crack house, anyone?).

Like I said, maybe I missed something (I'm not exactly watching anymore) but I only ever got creepy!stalker!dealer guy vibe from him. Which doesn't exactly make him a class act, or anything, but still.

That's definitely how the pilot read to me. Then he comes back later and says that it was the best thing to happen to him. It's why I'm completely unable to watch the show.

I think Rachel exsagerated the truth because Hank was definately unconfrotable in that situation. But it's not pedophilia, mostly because Hank was definately a senior.

Though Rachel was definitely being opportunistic and sly in the pilot, they did show Ryerson touching a student in an inappropriate way, and that was what Rachel witnessed.

Okay, I just rewatched the scene on Netflix, and it IS more on the side of inappropriateness than I was remembering. (But mostlyI just realized how shippable Finn and Kurt are and saw a bit of one-sided Finn/Schu that I'd never noticed before. Seriously, boy can pensively gaze like no other.)
