Do your homework first -- since you already have a navel piercing, I'm sure you're well aware of the necessity to keep the piercings clean and undisturbed while they initially heal. Also make sure that you go to an experienced piercer. But after that, I say go for it. I got mine done last year and I love them. Some people experience little or no pain -- I had some pain, but it was over quickly. It depends on the person and the piercer. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. I love my piercings.

Just as a bit of warning, nipple piercings take a lot of work to maintain. It's been close to a year since I've got mine done, and they've been a huge hassle and remain to be. Not for everyone, of course, but just be aware that they are among the more difficult piercings.

Also I have no idea if I will do it. I'm a giant wimp, for one, and two, I have sensitive skin and I don't react to piercings well. My ears always used to bitch if I put the wrong kind of metal in them even for a second, and I definitely don't want the piercing irritation afflicting my poor, innocent nipples.

I wish I could magically bypass the metal sensitivity and process of having a sharp thing shoved through my skin and just get to the part where I have AWESOME NIPPLE PIERCINGS. 8(

Go for it. I had mine done in December, and they are completely healed. The pain was nothing for me, but I also have a very high pain tolerance. So be warned, you may be in for a bit of a shock. Just as a forewarning, I would say people with bigger nipples than mine might experience a longer healing period, because I have aereolas the size of quarters with tips the size of about a Sharpie lid. The fistula was pretty small.

But if you want it done, do it. They increased the sensitivity a lot, and look damn adorable. :)
