Welp, I'm gay, and I love slash so long as it sticks to cuddling/kissing times or only softcore sex at its most explicit. Why? Because while some gay chicks like m/m sex, and I can handle penises when there's a woman involved somewhere, too many penises without any ladies around completely turns me off, and anal sex is a big squick of mine, so...

... and, being openly gay, I'm pretty damn sure I'm not homophobic.

Huh, that's odd. I'm gay and female as well, and I cannot read anything that involves a woman AND a penis, because I immediately project myself into the woman, which I clearly do not want. But each to their own, I guess?

Yeah, it's... weird. I'm really fond of het, though, despite being gay and all. There are some het things I can't read because of emotional responses to the act, like blowjobs.

I don't really project myself into sexual situations, due to being asexual. My only problem rises when a character's emotional response to sex reminds me of what mine would be, then I start projecting, which makes me freak out because 'D: sex', so I can't really read porn where the female character is nervous about penis if I identify with her too strongly. Other than that... I can be perfectly okay with a lady interacting with a penis, because I'm paying more attention to the emotions than the actions, so if the character actually wants it, I'm okay with it, and I can just focus most of my imagining of the scene on the lady, with convenient smokescreens over the male parts that I don't like.

Oh, okay, I see. Thanks for your reply! That was interesting to read, since I'm asexual as well, but in my case, I distinguish between fantasy and reality. As in, I may find fiction arousing, but wouldn't want to act it out IRL. This is why I personally don't like het at all. But yeah, different strokes for different folks, even if they are both gay and asexual, lol.
