So...why not use Hermione as your inspiration? It might sound really corny, but people have posted all kinds of weird, funny inspirational secrets. You don't have to *tell* people what motivates you, just that your priorities have changes and you want to focus more on your studies.

It will do you no good in the future if you slack off with your studies. Sure you have all these good times with your friends to remember, but it won't mean a thing if you're stuck flipping burgers for the rest of your life because your grades were horrible.

You *can* change your priorities, OP. You just don't *want* to.

Besides - I used to have a very little amount of friends, almost no friends. So now I grab any opportunity to have fun with those friends I got lately..
