Aww, I haven't seen the new arc, but I've been dying to read it. Sounds reasonable for Ichigo to have a bit of a freakout to me. All I know from the new arc is that Ichigo/Rukia shippers are eagerly awaiting a reunion between Rukia and Ichigo.

Yeah, no.

The fact that Ichigo is keeping things away from his non-powered Human friends makes me reluctant to start squealing 'poor Ichigo' and claim everyone is hiding from him. Last time I checkeed, Ichigo didn't confront Isshin and Urahara when he saw them (although I agree its weird how much of a following these two have) and was he's hiding things from his friends too. He was even asked by Keigo and Orihime earlier in this arc if he was okay and dismissed it and pretty much ran to the first person who offered him a dog-biscuit due to his complex on protecting others.

That and even when he ran into the fullbringers have you seen him say anything to Tatsuki, Mizuro or Keigo or aren't they included when you talk about people hiding things from each other? Or maybe Izumi who asked Ichigo to confide in him? Or is this all the fault of Orihime and Chad because they where attempting to prevent him from getting into something that could most likely get him killed (esp as he is only now regaining his powers)?

The fact you are insinuating that Ichigo's human friends are bad for him in comparison to his shinigami friends kind of hints what your real issue with this is. The fact the plot is focusing on Karukura times. Ichigo is pretty aware of the spirit world after he lost his powers. Don't excuse his actions on the basis that his human friends aren't good enough for him and only the shinigami matter.

You have a point. However... savvy Young Adult fangirls might be able to intuit this, but the target audience of teenage boys wouldn't. Not without a direct indication that he was feeling this way.
