I really want to see that. I want the princess to meet the prince/theif/dude but they just stay bffs instead of falling in forced, plastic, sugary-sweet love.

This. I've never seen Tangled and have pretty much no desire to see Pocahontas but there was nothing forced about the love other princesses had, IMO.

I think it's a subjective matter. When I was little romance in some Disney movies used to really annoy me, whereas I'm usually a big romantic and love it in other films/TV shows (and some Disney movies too). I always felt the love in The Lion King/2 was forced, for example.

I think it's subjective. To me the romance in Pocahontas was great. Tarzan too. But Beauty and the beast, Cinderella...yeah.
