Do you seriously not realize that some people have different genetics and that some people are always going to be chubby no matter how much they exercise or how well they eat? Yeah, maybe the only way you can get morbidly obese is by being sedentary and eating crappy food (and even then certain environmental factors beyond ones control, like poverty and disease, can cause that to happen) but some people are just fat no matter what they do.

Whatever, you're fucking disgusting. I'm through replying to you, unless you're ready to stop being ignorant and actually educate yourself on this subject

I'm sorry but genetic differences do not even begin to account for the epidemic we see in the western world today. Your casual insult, especially when coupled hypocritically to your misinformed facts, really throws a negative light on your character.

Of course not. YOU are the one implying, rather rudely, that the only way anyone could possibly be anything other than skinny is by eating an unhealthy diet or having a sedentary lifestyle. I think you seem to be under the implication that when I say "fat" I mean someone who is morbidly obese, certainly the only way someone could become that large is from a lack of exercise and bad diet (and as I said elsewhere in this thread, due to POVERTY some people do not have the same access to healthy food or the free time and ability to get enough exercise). When I say "fat" I meant more like, someone who is slightly overweight or maybe someone who isn't even overweight at all but would not be categorized as physically thin.

DIFFERENT ANON you jackass! There's clearly more than one anon that think you're wrong.

Personally, I think it's about half-half, but you're acting like there's no decision in there at all when that simply isn't the case. Actually one of the major factors that seems to influence weight is how people react to food when they're full. Some people are programmed to eat it anyway, some people can just completely ignore it (which is something influence by genetics AND choice!)

Because you know what? Most people are able to lose weight, but it is a really hard choice to make and stick with because it's a continual commitment, even after reaching the goal.

Answer my fucking question -- do you seriously think that genetics don't account for the fact that some women are larger than other women? I was never, ever, in any way shape or form, advocating that obesity was healthy. I was only saying that some people are born chubbier than others. Which accounts for those people you come across (like my cousins) who can eat pretty much anything and never gain a single pound.

Have you really never met a thin person who ate a ton of junk food and never exercised, or a fat person who ate a balanced diet and got exercise? Ever?

Yes.
My coworker is a very thin girl, who falls ill a lot because of that. She eats junk food, she tries to gain weight, but she can't.
My best friend is chubby, will always be, and run 6 hours a week, run semi-marathons too, twice a year, swims, and so on.

Oh, I should clarify that I meant to point out to the (troll?) comment that they themselves have probably met people like this and it's ridiculous to act like fat = unhealthy.
