Yep, I agree with you on both parts, I mean, I get where people are coming from because side characters =/= the lead role, but it's fun to speculate until the real deal (i.e. a non-cis Disney lead) comes along. ^_^

For what it's worth, I wouldn't be surprised by a bi lead within the next 10-20 years, I mean I'm not sure they'll come right out and say it, but it would be there.

What always bugs me is that Disney generally does the right thing with real people and real people always trump animated ones (which a bunch of people tend to ignore).

And it's something that would be readily doable.

Yes, they have really good contracts when it comes to gay partners and that sort of thing, they're very gay-friendly, and have gay days at the theme parks. They movies and such give a very conservative image, but they're actually quite progressive (which everyone seems to forget).

That's cool! For realizes! I had heard (on Cracked, I think), that they weren't, but some church took Disney's lack of explicit denial of services as an implicit agreement with the so-called "gay agenda", and they boycotted Disney for a long time for it, so Disney actually approving of it makes me happy. ^_^
