That's like saying that Huck Finn is racist because it uses the N-word, even though the novel itself is abolitionist.

Also there IS a problem with making an "empowering" song geared specifically towards a group(s) you are not a part of, rather than a generic inspiring/empowering song

First off:

Lesbian, transgendered life

I was born to survive"

The song wasn't directed just at the LGBT community, it was directed at everyone.

Second off: Lady Gaga is bisexual, and thus a member of the LGBT community.

Third off: there are all kinds of wrong things about what you just said, but I would just like you to keep in mind that those that are less priviledged than others do need a voice and need suport, and if someone with privilege has the heart to help you, you would be an idiot to reject it, which I guess is why you said that.

First: lol, no. a) Huck Finn uses that word in a historical context. we do not currently live in a time/place where all Hispanic women are called "cholas." so, no. b) if you've paid attention to current happenings, some people don't like the use of that word in Huck Finn, even.

Second: being bisexual does not place her in the same camp as trans folk. it also does not make her Hispanic or Asian, disabled, etc. the song may be directed towards a lot of groups that aren't just LGBT, but it's still directed towards them.

Third: as I've said in other comments, this is not a rejection of support. it's a rejection of support that uses the completely wrong language, and is condescending. I am not obligated to accept that kind of "support." you wanna insult me some more tho, if it makes you feel better?
