That actually makes a lot of sense. And the weirdest part is that it has taken me to the second season to expect weirdness in the episode. Every other time that I had watched it before, I somehow just assumed that it would turn into some normal, run-of-the-mill episode about whatever small problem was at hand, and then BOOM. Surreal stuff way out of left field.

I think the episode that made it finally click that something terrifying would happen was the one where Pops has to give a speech and keeps getting stage-fright.

I get SO happy every time I see an RS secret! And the similarities you listed are all so true!! Especially in the newest episode "Jinx", that one gave me chills.

Ha, I once made a comment on /co/ how Regular Show would make awesome creepypasta fodder. I'd still like to see one get made, but the show is pretty creepy on its own, when you put it that way.

The latest episode, Jynx, is a huge example of how unpredictable these episodes can be. I remember how everyone in the stream we were watching the episode in exploded in a collective "what the fuck"s as the paranormal twist kicked in. And some of us have been watching the series since the first season.

If you look at the animated short where some of the cast are first seen, (2 in the AM PM) it starts out as two guys who drop acid on halloween. it's always seemed to be mre of a drug-use surreal than a creepy pasta surreal. except for that skips immortality episode. shit was weird

Yeah I agree, it has that slight uneasiness about it even at the beginning when things are 'normal'.
