I love me some Scrubs, but always hated how Elliot's character was handled. She was written in so many different ways at any point in time...just, not strong writing overall when it came to her.

Elliot always confused me when I watched Scrubs because I was never sure if I was intended to like her or not. It felt like I was supposed to always be on her side when something went down, when I rarely was. I agree in any sense.

Ohhhh so agreed! Elliott was easily my least favorite character. But then again I really didn't like J.D. either, so.. if the show had written with Turk, Carla, Cox, Janitor and Kelso as the central crew, that would have been totally okay with me.

The other characters worked together - they were funny and had their funny moments together. But Elliot's scenes (especially towards the end of the show) seemed to revolve around her obnoxiousness and her boring-ass relationships.

I won't deny that Elliot could be obnoxious, but so could JD.

I just really loved her because instead of being the typical love interest she was quirky and funny and had her own personality and life. That's what I really loved about Scrubs, the women didn't get pushed aside because of the old sitcom belief that "men are funnier", the women were all hilarious and great characters.

Scrubs was okay, but relied entirely too much on stereotypes for its main cast.
