I'm rarely shocked by famous people's deaths, but hers hit me really hard. I found out about it through ihasatardis of all places. I cried then, and I cried earlier on today when they showed a small tribute program to her after the new series of Dr Who had started again; entitled 'My Sarah Jane'.

Very sad all around.

I've never cried over the death of someone I've never even met before, but every day this week, after I've gotten home from work? It's the most I've cried in months, if not years.

She was the same age as my folks.

I've been so sad since her death, and I'm not entirely sure how to cope with it. Most of the tributes just made me sadder, but thank you for the virtual huge. ; ;

Like just about everyone else who's posted here, I'm not someone who usually cries over celebrity deaths or even gets upset about them (usually my reaction is "oh, that's sad" *gets on with day*). I cried buckets over her death. I still can't quite believe she's gone. I'm sure I'll cry when I watch the tribute that aired today.

I never knew her, but I will miss her terribly. I hope she knew how much she meant to so many of us. (And I hope her family knows, too.)
