I honestly don't understand why you would think you were supposed to hate it in the first place. I love this show.

I know some fans are pretty resistant to reboots and somewhat new takes on old canons, but I've always tried to keep an open mind about that sort of thing. Never know when a fresh take will absolutely rock and, IMO, that's totally been a case with Renegades. (And even though I've recently burned out on the fandom and am taking a break from it, I felt much the same way about some of the Transformers series that have come about since G1. I love Beast Wars and Transformers Animated.)

So if you dig it, don't feel bad about it, anon. That doesn't make you a traitor to the 80's cartoon series. Especially considering that series technically wasn't even the original GI Joe to begin with.

Not a lot of people on Livejournal seem to know it or much about it, unfortunately, but I personally find it very entertaining. I also do recommend it if you happen to dig the idea of the entire world being infected with nanites and people turning into freaks of science at random.

Renegades secret! You made my day!

Some people still hate it, and some people are bummed out and pessimistic about the hiatus. Although from what I've seen, several of the people who don't dig the show still love Bludd. (And why wouldn't they, because he's pretty badass)

Myself, I'm more hot for Destro... I-- I don't even know, man.

And Tunnel Rat, my non-evil Renegades crush.

It's a super awesome cartoon. (I wasn't into GI Joe as a kid, so I didn't have to get over it being different from the Sunbow cartoon, which I guess might make a difference. Instead I became obsessed with Renegades and that got me into the older stuff and the comics 'verse)
