DW fandom gave the OP a shoulder to cry on? OP says they don't have anyone else that sympathizes or understands? I dunno, seems like a secret to me!

Huh, really? I don't see that at all. Sometimes I think "secrets" posted are a bit questionable in regards to the definition of the word, but this one is without doubt the biggest non-secrety thing I've ever seen here. Seriously, I don't get it at all! But hey, I get that to most people it'd probably seem petty to not put it with the rest of the batch (considering the subject matter).

Hmm, maybe we're thinking in different scopes? I mean, I read it as this is a secret because OP couldn't tell anyone IRL about their reaction to Liz Sladen's death - a secret from the OP's RL friends/family, not like "I can't tell anyone on the internet oh no."

Yeah, sure, that'd be a secret -- I just don't think that's what it says. I read it more like "Nobody I know in RL is into this series so I can only talk about it with fandom online." -- which is only logical, since I don't think this actress was particularly famous outside of this series. And besides, that bit was only a small part of the text; most of it was "RIP" and "we need a hug" and so on.

Just my opinion though, so whatever. It's not particularly important anyway; I was mainly curious how anyone could see it as a secret in the first place. And you answered that, so~

I agree with OP. I read this and it doesn't strike me as a secret. I mean, I suppose it'd be different if the poster didn't have ANYONE to talk to (fandom included), but since they do... then I don't get how it's a secret. I'm sure the poster has said the exact same thing in their "secret" to their fandom friends. It's worded as more of a "I'm sorry and here's my opinion." than "I'd be embarrassed if anyone knew this."

I think it may have been better to be put in it's own category at the end of the post since there are a lot of DW fans that come to FS. But it's definitely not a secret.
