Yeah...umm...as my friend has wisely told me: "Don't get too attached to characters in this series, because if you do, they will likely die." I don't expect any characters to come out happy in this series...or alive for that matter.

Is anyone else who has read the books finding it really hard not to spoil non readers, especially when stupid questions are asked? This secret is good btw. After the way they treated the relationship, especially in the first episode, compared to the books I am pleased some non readers are realising it is not a bad relationship.
HBO themselves seem intent on spoiling people by asking stupid questions on facebook and twitter etc, that any reader could answer accurately. I read all the incorrect responses and get so annoyed.

Also tbh, if I was watching a TV show based on a hugely popular book I hadn't read and wanted to avoid spoilers I would not go to those websites.

As someone said above - when I first read the books, a friend who had read them already told me not to get too attached to any characters. Especially in the later books as I think GRRM went through some rough times himself during some of them.

I've watched the two episodes that are out and ow poor child. I've also started to read the book but yeah I'm way behind still.

But taking into account the comments I'm starting to read here, methinks she'll maybe kill him in his sleep or something (purely theoretical here, no spoiler whatsoever, this is me guessing.) That would be terrifically ironic taking into account the beast of a man he is who was never defeated in battle before and who treats women like dirt.
