why the hell would you be "in love" with someone you know nothing about (besides the fact that they rp and like homestuck)

because human emotions work in odd ways? don't slam them for being "in love" with someone, even though they are probably getting their character's feelings mixed up for their own.

it's entirely possible to be in love (or be "in love") with someone without knowing them at all.

No, it's really not. Loving someone you don't know has more to do with loving the 'idea' of them, or loving whatever you think they are. That's not the same as loving the actual person.
