There are some fandoms I've seen where the only drama came from outside of fandom. Like, there are two fandom friends, and one of them went to visit the other one and discovered that they were not the person they seemed to be online. But not like, fandom drama or ship wars, or anything like that.
But then there are other fandoms that seem to draw drama queens who just like to stir up drama, and that are horribly wanky and horrible, and miserable.
So yeah, it all depends on what you're a fan of.
