TV tropes helped me realize my love of dark snarky girl + pink peppy girl friendship like Shadocat & Rogue or Starfire & Raven. Then I realized Ty Lee & Mai have a similar dynamic and I'm off to catch up on seasons 2/3 of Avatar: tla.

I can always surf the Red Oni, Blue Oni, Magnificent Bastard, and Break the Cutie pages for new material.

Oh, I love Ty Lee and Mai; Avatar is what got me into Livejournal and the larger part of fandom as a whole, so it's always near and dear to my heart. Also, your mention of Starfire and Raven reminds me that I've been meaning to watch Teen Titans from start to finish now that - as an adult - I actually have the means to, versus catching an episode here and there from Kids WB when I had the time.

But yeah, I'm addicted to enemies relationships. And not the star-crossed Romeo/Juliet or rivals or modern day school grudges kind, but the all out want to kill each other, fighting for different sides, a lot more than themselves at stake kind. So TV tropes is very helpful in that regard, though I usually have to check multiples pages to find things that sort of match what I'm looking for.

(And I finally found the page I was looking for: "Handsome Devil". I ended up having to go into my browser history and searching for it there.)

Oh Avatar, there's something for everyone! I love Teen Titans like a cousin and re-watching them is always fun. I tend to miss the last season/s of cartoons which is a shame because those usually end up as my favorite.

That's awesome! I tend to start seeing the same title crop up in all my favorite tropes and even though I don't know what it is about but I start to recognize the name and then one day I check it out and I'm doomed to a new fannish interest.

That tends to happen to me with shows/books that don't look interesting at first. They'll pop up, I'll go "meh... maybe later" and then they'll keep. Popping. Up.

(I only noticed your Ponder Stibbons icon after my first reply, and then it was just an excuse to break out my Susan icons.)

The risk is that they've got a huge (or highly devoted) fan base who log every instance of EVERYTHING so that thing you wanted to see more of is really just hinted at in the supplementary materials. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but I remember feeling pretty let down several times over this.
