Unfortunately, while I totally agree on your PTSD diagnosis, I have nothing to add that others haven't said here already.. except that unlike Sasuke, you should rise above the pain, rather than embrace it! I know it's hard, and I know it's definitely the longer, more painful route, but it's going to be much more rewarding in the end and I hope you find yourself to be a happier person, because you ARE deserving of love and respect and there is nobody who is allowed to take that away from you. I REALLY think it's a bad comparison, to be honest. Sasuke genuinely is a selfish, insensitive bastard...I mean he tried to kill his best friends in cold blood. I don't think many people can sanely justify or relate to that.

Right from the off, you come across as insensitive. The OP stated very clearly that things like this are a trigger. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you're just choosing not to look at the canonical evidence present in the manga for what the OP argues.

Sasuke, pre-massacre, was in fact a very nice and stable child, other than having an inferiority complex because of his brother. Despite this, he idolized Itachi and was a happy, kind child. Post-massacre, however, is another story. He became an avenger and he had to do whatever it took to avenge the people who were killed in cold blood, his family.

It might be hard to relate for you, but I would say most people would react similarly. That's a traumatic event for anyone. If you want to place yourself on a pedestal, so be it. I find it hard to believe that anyone raised in shinobi culture, or even our own, would not seek vengeance and also be severely scarred. In all honesty, it just comes across like you're trying to trigger the OP. I seriously hope you never know anyone who suffers from any sort of mental illness because clearly, you lack sensitivity on the subject, as well as education.

If I had a nickel...I know full well what he was before the incident occurred. That in no way excuses or justifies the actions he would commit in the future. It's understandable that he's angry, that he's distant, and that he wants to bring those responsible to justice. That's as far as it goes though.

There's absolutely no justification for him lashing out at those that cared for him, and threatening to and even killing those that had nothing to do with his tragedy. There are many characters that could've served as a more sufficient and more sympathetic example, so I reiterate my previous point: I REALLY think trying to use Sasuke as a comparison is a bad idea, because he is genuinely a selfish individual.

I'm not placing myself on any pedestal. Also, anyone that reacted similarly would meet a very tragic end in our society. I really don't see how you concocted such a long-winded response to something so short anyways, but oh well. While it sucks what the OP went through, I just think their parallel was poorly chosen. I have ability to feel sympathy, I'm just thinking the OP's example was poorly chosen once again.
