It's never too late, OP! As already said above, the newsletter is a fantastic place to start out. Then you've got Delicious (http://www.delicious.com/) where you can search for fic recs, and there are still SO many comms out there for pairings and challenges that are actually still updating - most of which you'll see on the newsletter - as well as a gqmf_heroes comm. There's also a podcast (http://www.heroespodcast.com/) still up that recapped episodes, discussed character and plot arcs, and interviewed show actors and writers, and a hilarious crack RP blog (http://www.burnttoastdiner.com/).
