Your attachment to this character is unhealthy. He is not you, and he's allowed to be criticized, because he's fictional and because fiction is, by nature, contrived. Your life isn't.

It's cute that you think telling me I'm unhealthy (like I haven't figured that out already) is going to miraculously cure everything that's wrong with me.

The very nature of mental illness is that I am--surprise--unhealthy, but like any other illness, just saying "that's unhealthy, you should stop!" doesn't really do jack shit. Would you say the same thing to someone who was puking? "That's unhealthy! Stop puking!"

It doesn't really work that way.

OP isn't lashing out at people for having contrary views. They are upset because of the fact that people are willfully maintaining ignorance on the matter of mental illness, and also telling them to "stop feeling this way because of x, y, and z" like that's going to help.

I personally do not like Sasuke much, but that's my opinion. The OP has a very clear distinction between "I dislike the character" and "I dislike them because I am maintaining ignorance on their issues." While Sasuke may just be a fictional character, it is very common for people to completely miss the serious nature of his characterization, ie: mental illness, which reflects our society quite well. People refer to Sasuke as "emo" and this transfers to real life quite often in the way people treat each other. Depression and other mental illness is not treated seriously because "oh get over it; you're just seeking attention" or some other such rot.

While you might not agree with the OP's analysis of the character, I think you missed the point of the post and also jumped to conclusions about what the OP was saying and why the OP was reacting as they were.

Yes, the OP is lashing out at people with contrary views. People are being ignorant on THEIR plight, moreso it seems the example the OP chose to use is of questionable quality.

Yes, Sasuke is SUCH a DEEP character, it's not like you see characters just like him countless times in other works of fiction. Please spare me that. I know Sasuke went through a lot of shit, but so did 90% of the Naruto cast. Many of which I think could've served as a better example. Sasuke has gone far beyond a case of sympathy, he is still sane btw, and in consciously chose evil.

I got it clearly, and if I did not, it may be because the poor character choice of the OP.

Well, yeah. He's not real, so you need to like relax dude.

I can only hope, I mean there are those like Vash for example that suffered immensely, but try to cope with it in a positive way. The fact that the OP has gone as far as to take personally what is stated about Sasuke isn't going to do any good for them or their condition.
