Because it was a dream.

I'm super-nearsighted, and I often have dreams in which my contacts aren't working or things are blurry for some other reason. So actually, it totally makes sense to me that in a dream, if you got his eyesight you wouldn't get the benefits of correction. I guess you don't have dreams like that?

But yeah, OP, if I was dreaming about Midgar with my contacts missing I'd be really sad too XD;

It made sense to me. I do't do it so much now, but I remember before I got my glasses I used to have dreams where I had really bad eyesight ALL THE TIME.

Not to burst your bubble but if you could remember the dream it would very possibly just be something weird or nonsensical.

I once dreamed I wrote a song that was so great it became famous. I was very excited when I woke up because I could still remember the song. So I went to write it down... and realized that it was incredibly stupid.

You're probably better off with whatever you imagine the dream might have been.

This is gonna sound insane, but is there a chance you sleep with your eyes (partly) open? I know I do, and in my dreams I often can't see that well. Like, I feel like I can't keep my eyes open (in my dreams) because they're kind of actually open in real life. (I know. It's weird. And I look demonic.) I'm also really light-sensitive, so I wear one of those pretentious eye masks a lot of the time, and it actually helps with dreams. Seriously. So if it keeps happening, try that. Also, THIS FANDOM WILL NEVER DIE. EVER. THE MAGIC WILL LIVE, GODDAMMIT
