I don't like that you seem to believe that fiction is divorced from an oppressive reality.

Personally, I believe fanfic SHOULD be divorced from reality. It's a fantasy based on a fantasy, and about as close to pure escapism as a lot of us can get. If you like critiquing it, that's your business.

That may be. Unfortunately, should does not equal is. Just because something is meant as escapism doesn't mean your words or concepts won't harm someone. (To be honest, you're really at a higher risk of harming someone, simply because their defenses are lowered.)

(And I was actually speaking wrt fiction in general but eh, it's cool, we cool :D)
