I don't like that you seem to believe that fiction is divorced from an oppressive reality. Just because the characters are driving a story doesn't mean that they can't further negative stereotypes or concepts in doing so. Feminist critique isn't entirely without value.

Other than that, yeah, I concur. Fandom is obsessed with critiquing woman characters (not stories as a whole, just woman characters, for some reason). Honestly it seems like the same old misogyny as always, dressed up in a feminist costume. It's tiring.

Personally, I believe fanfic SHOULD be divorced from reality. It's a fantasy based on a fantasy, and about as close to pure escapism as a lot of us can get. If you like critiquing it, that's your business.

That may be. Unfortunately, should does not equal is. Just because something is meant as escapism doesn't mean your words or concepts won't harm someone. (To be honest, you're really at a higher risk of harming someone, simply because their defenses are lowered.)

idk, I sort of think feminists are getting a little carried away these days. I once saw a woman call a man a chauvanistic, sexist ignorant pig because he held a door open for her and this was somehow DEPOWERING HER RIGHTS or some crazy crap.
