i'm sick of being stereotyped as an effeminate girly man because of pretty boys, simply because i'm gay

it also comes off as very materialistic and fake, as if they aren't real people

That's a lot of hate for non-masculine men you got going on right there. It's totally fine if you're not an effeminate guy, but there's nothing WRONG with being an effeminate guy. You might should do some reading on machismo culture and the culture of shaming 'non-masculine' men and how bad it is for, well, pretty much everybody.
