EYEROLL. Yeah, you are the FIRST PERSON EVER to feel that way. Poor 2005 fans, they are all so very, very alone.

People have been saying this since it was released almost six years ago. Heck, there are even people who prefer the miniseries and still don't think Colin Firth is the greatest thing since sliced bread and think Matthew Macfadyen did a better job in the role (I'm one of them.) Maybe you're in the minority as far as your preferences go (I actually have no idea which version has more fans,) but there are plenty of people who agree with you, and there always have been.

Personally, I'm really curious why the persecution complex is so persistent when it comes to this movie. There have been so many remakes of so many movies and shows - songs, too, now that I think about it - and every fan has their own ideas about which version is best. You like what you like. Most people won't give a crap if you like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory best.

Personally, I'M really curious why you bother to make such a big deal out of it, if it's such a stupid thing to care about. not that I actually care about it either, I'll take Edward Ferrars over all the Mr. Darcys any day lol

Edward Ferrars? Really? I'm not knocking it, I'm just kind of curious. He was one of the Austen men I liked less. I like him a lot better than Edmund Bertram, who I'm... really not fond of, but he wasn't really up there for me. ^_^

What drew you to Edward Ferrars? Again, I'm honestly curious, not trying to get at you!

aha sorry about taking so long to reply, I had finals >.< I liked that Edward was so determined to keep his word even though it meant unhappy consequences for him. I liked that honorableness and doing-the-right-thing-even-if-it-kills-me thing about him. Also he gave me the impression of being very repressed, which I find hot because it means that there must be something quite passionate behind that repression, but it's controlled, which makes it hotter. I have somewhat unorthodox taste, I think lol.
