Can a writer rip off themselves? IIRC it's the same writer.

And 999 getting a much wider release doesn't hurt.

They have the same scenario writer, yes.

999 had a pretty small run initially, but it seemed to have caught fire by word of mouth and Aksys already did at least one reprint.
