aww, i love bromances. i could never find them boring.

... well, unless they're too loaded with faux-yay jokes, then it just gets patronising and annoying. but luckily troy and abed haven't quite crossed that line for me yet.

... I am just kind of completely shocked at the idea of someone finding Bromance boring. In six or so years of internet this is literally the first time I have ever heard such.

This mostly has to do with my own personal issues where I resent how fandom glorifies bromances, when I'd really rather watch stuff involving female friendships (and not like catty "friendships" either, I mean like how Buffy and Willow were in high school, or Katara and Toph from Avatar). Most of the time I literally do not care about dude friendships at all...which is why I was so surprised when I adored Troy and Abed right off the bat.

I completely agree with you. Bromances hold no interest to me whatsoever because they're EVERYWHERE and glorified by everyone while you have to struggle to find ONE good female "bromance" where they actually put each other first before the men in their lives and it just bugs me. (Also, I just generally don't care about male characters all that much.)
