I agree with everything in this comment, especially the fairy comment.

You know what? I don't mind Cinderella's dress being blue in the official art. What I don't like is how in the digitally-remastered version of the film, they added a slight blue tint to it to lampshade the change.

Also just yesterday I found a picture of Aurora wearing pink and thought, "Wait, wasn't her dress blue?" I wound up assuming my memory just messed up the final color of her dress with my bias for the color blue. Glad to know I was right.

This happened to me too. So I guess it really was blue. Why Disney why. You kept all the other princesses intact.

It looks like Flora had the last laugh when it came to the dress. :3

I'm 15 pretending I'm 23. I wouldn't blame them for it, but I have a feeling that a lot of my f-list would feel differently about me when we're chatting if I happen to mention I'm only in my second year of high school.

I did that a lot when I was your age (the Internet was an amazing thing), but when I look up those posts now they sound really young :)

I think that, while I could appear more mature in some ways, a lot of that was really because I actually matured quite late, so I went through the usual teenage emotions and feelings, and inability to understand people properly while thinking it was them not understanding me, reeeaally late, like 18+, so I was viewing stuff at 15/16 like a smart child with more experience than most. Bearing in mind that the rewiring of the brain from an child's brain to an adult brain is seriously mess up, and makes things so hard emotionally, this made some things much easier, but also meant that I was genuinely blind to all sorts of things that I didn't understand, while thinking I did.

So, really, enjoy yourself. But don't link anything you write to your real identity, because you'll cringe when you're older ;)

I can get why you'd do that. Whenever my friends online around the age of 20 find out I'm not 16 yet, they're like 'Whoa but you act even older than me!' Kinda depressing to know the stereotypical teenager is an incoherent fangirl.

FWIW, I don't really know about the original dialogue, but in my county's translation, the Fairy Godmother gave Cinderella a dress made from "six meters of sky-tinted thread". And I, as a kid, never understood why it was silver since the sky was blue. So, yeah, my two pennies for you.

I always assumed Cinderella's dress was blue. Just looking at the line up I'd assume they made Aurora's dress pink because Cinderella's in blue. The only one that officially has a pink dress and doesn't need it is Ariel since it officially isn't hers, but one given to her just to have clothes.

I think they try to keep it simple. Every Princess in a bright color. Generally not the same color as the one beside her.

I get you. I mean I don't participate in much fandom because I don't like to talk or write about sex. I just don't find it nearly as interesting as most people do. Yeah, maybe I haven't "found the right fandom." But I'd rather be in a fandom for liking something than trying to force myself into a fandom I don't care about just because it has less sex.
