I think she was supposed to piss us off, especially with her forcing Leonard to change into things that were uncomfortable or unnecessary for him. And I agree with all the other commentators about how awesome the girls on this show are (sans Priya). Hell, even the older ladies on the show are fantastic.

I'm surprised they haven't introduced a "nerd girl" to the show yet. It could either go really well or really, really horrendously.

Sorry should've elaborated more, comment was a little flippant that way. I meant the ones who play video games and read comic books and would relate more to the guys than the girls on the show, hobbies-wise, anyway.

even Penny, an established not-nerd, plays WoW and console games and reads comics, so I'm still not sure what you're going for.

I was just surprised they haven't had a stereotypical nerd girl on the show yet. Someone who would probably geek out with the guys after seeing the One Ring, or who would actually go to the comic book store or Comic Con with them. Or hell, cosplay. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if they ever do that or not, I just thought the show would at some point. Sorry if I still can't explain what I mean.

Also, when did Penny read comics? I must've missed it.

I don't really think the show needs a stereotypical "one of the guys!" girls, there's enough of them in other shows as it is. There's a lot I don't like about BBT, but I do like that they can portray nerdy women realistically instead of falling back on stereotypes.

I don't wish for it, either. You're right about the girls not being stereotypical, but the show's got a lot of other stereotypes about nerds that I thought they'd add the geek girl in at one point.
