While our interpretations of that episode may be different, I have to say, I hadn't thought about Pinkie Pie getting so much leeway, so to speak. And I agree with you, now that I think about it, because you're right. I can't think of an episode where it was shown how Pinkie Pie's attitude, when taken too far, can be detrimental. I mean, The Best Night ever might have been an example, but everyone else had a shitty night too, so that doesn't quite count.

Thanks for bringing up a point I totally hadn't considered until now.
