You should never feel ashamed for having sex with a person that you don't know.

Unless you were dumbass and got an STI from not using protection, then no.

Sex with anyone at anytime is okay.

There's a time and a place for everything. And definitely some people you should never sleep with.

I'm honestly not sure how you got all that from this secret...

Um... if your partner does not know or does not disclose his/her disease status and you get an STI, your actions were not "shameful."

Sexually assaulting someone is shameful. Making a decision that winds up not being the best one? Not shameful.

Keeping yourself safe when you choose to engage in sexual activity is no one's business but your own. Whether that's using protection or making sure your partner gets tested before you do anything, it's your responsibility. Because it's your sexual health, not someone else's.

If I knew better than to do something, did it anyway, and ended up with an STI for my troubles, I'd say I'd feel ashamed of myself. Because I knew better.
