I just buy my games and don't give a shit about how anyone else acquires theirs.

Those games you're buying are produced by people who'd like to be able to feed themselves. If other people are taking them without paying, that means that the companies, the people, won't be able to continue to make the games you enjoy, and they'll fold, which means you won't get any more games because of other people. It's something to think about.
