2) But if he had ten pages and the anime is already cutting a lot, then why bitch? Granted, I don't know the series, but I'm honestly getting a little annoyed with minor character fans.

You like them! Great. Awesome. There are several I love too. However, I hate it when some fans feel the need to bash major character or bitch when a series called, say Naruto, focus on a character called Naruto.

There was bashing of major characters in favor of Matt? Since when? Plus, Matt plays a rather important role in the end that would be kind of difficult to change, and the bitching about him possibly being cut lasted for like, a day, and was mostly in the capslock community. I really have no idea what the OP of #2 is complaining about. She's acting like the DN fandom is full of a bunch of rabid, whiny, main-character-hating Matt fans. It's not.

I'm not in the DN fandom - never read or watched it. But I understand, straight up, where the frustration is coming from.

Although if he does have an important role and the anime forgets it, it's anime people being stupid again. It's happened before. :/

You know how sometimes when a series goes to anime and they actually give characters bigger parts? That's what I thought was going to happen with Death Note. I mean, I'm not one of the fans going crazy over how Madhouse changed his colors and made him show up late, but...I gotta admit I was a little disappointed. Why even include him at all if he's not gonna do anything?

Pfft. I don't main-character bash. I like Naruto as a character just fine, but I can't help it that I'm way more interested in Shino and am always disappointed that he doesn't even get any backstory or character development whatsoever. (Granted, I'm not caught up with the manga yet, but still.)

I just have a natural attraction to the more minor characters, since they often have character design/personality/whatever that I'm more interested in. So I get annoyed when people are like, "LOL Y DO U LIKE THAT CHARACTER."

I don't really mind what people like. I just get really frustrated when minor character fans get a complex about liking them. The worst ones being the ones who think they're purer fans for liking minor characters and those of us who like main characters don't have a mind of their own.

Were I one of those people, now would be the perfect time to make a Sasuke fangirls joke. Unfortunately, I'm not. D: And I like Saucegay.

But yeah, I get that. But I also get frustrated when main-character fans get condescending because they have more "proof" for liking their characters. It happens. Why can't fandom just get along?

I don't know! We all like the same series. SPREAD LOVE.
