I hear that there are some channels that show it... Personally, i LOVE how the girls and guys in britcoms and british dramas look much more... normal... than American shows. One of the big parts of the appeal to me. Yeah they can still be attractive. But it's often in a 'weird way'. Like how you'd find an ordinary person/friend attractive once you get to know them. And they're not afraid of putting 'ugly' characters in. Since the character can be cool. And they're not picked on for it either.

I don't watch that much tv anyways. :p Simpsons, Family Guy, House, Hell's Kitchen--that's about it. In TV it's easier to have a less attractive cast, you don't see it so much in movies.

Not really. Though at least the cast of that look relatively normal.
I suggest you do try and step outside the box sometime though. :) It's a lot of fun.
