To #1: That resonates with me. I recall at least one great RP-er in my day who was a complete shitbag when she / he was being herself / himself.
To #2:
Possible acts of Gackt? This happens when he shows up.To #3: I've never been too sure what to make of that branch of fandom. They're like the furries, only ... not furry.
To #5: It stings, but you're right. -_- I still think live-action Sailor Moon is creepy, though.
To #6: Now we're talkin'. Take a stand! :-D
To #9: I think the whole "WWWRRRYYYYYY!!!" meme-thing accidentally killed poor Jojo before it could take off. :-(
To #12: Don't fret, it's just a backlash against something overtly popular. It comes and goes.
To #13: Well, the creators of anime still tend to be male, so they design the male characters to have variety while keeping the females to certain archetypes. It's unpleasant, but it happens a lot in visual media.
For the record, even though I'm a d00d, I can't stand the whole moe thing; I like the older female characters much more.To #14: They both hit my squick switch.
To #16: Haruhi fandom scared me off from the get-go. I'm still avoiding it.
To #18: -_- I feel that one.
To #19: Ooo, boy, you're going to get hit with the rotten vegetables, but I do agree with you.
