I suspect it depends on where your main exposure to Geass fandom is. If you had spent all your time on AnimeSuki or something, yeah, you wouldn't see a real lot of SuzaLulu.

I figured as much, although since this is LJ it's not that unreasonable to assume OP has at least somewhat investigated LJ CG fandom...but even then, only certain areas are active, and even the main comm goes through bouts of inactivity. But I hang out predominantly on LJ so I get to enjoy the benefits of the now-small but still-active fandom...which is almost exclusively SuzaLulu fans.
Is AnimeSuki's geass fandom still alive? I know there was a huge Kalulu kerfluffle around the end of R2 (which even spilled over here) but I was under the impression that AS didn't have much geass discussion anymore.
FF.net is and always has been a good place to find a big mix of pairings, but I'm not surprised to hear that a lot of fics were left unfinished because so many fans have moved on. I imagine a fair amount if not most of the currently-updating Suzalulu on ff.net is produced by the active authors here on LJ (e.g. passion pizza).
