Oh FORGET the movie. GO READ THE BOOK RIGHT NOW. David Foster Wallace (the author) is just the best ever. The book is 10000x more effective than the movie, which honestly although there were some affecting sequences is a pale, pale, pale version of the book. It's not the characters, it's the language.

Why yes I'm a pretentious twenty-something grad student, aka Wallace's fan demographic. Still though. Go read the book. Or better yet, read another of his books because that is not his best.
