I know what you're saying. Consent is sexy. What's more sexy than knowing for sure that the person you're with actually wants to be there. I think people are really over-exaggerating in their comments in this thread about thinking it would be repetitive or annoying if it showed up in fic all the time -- like it would be: "Can I kiss you? Can I move my hand on your shoulder?" or something. It doesn't even sound that way in the excerpt.

So yeah, OP. I get what you're saying!

Agreed. Like implied consent, verbal consent can be well-written and clear without being repetitive. Obviously you aren't going to keep asking the same question. It's more dirty talk than clinical.

THANK YOU, this is exactly what I was going to say. It doesn't have to be a constant "can I touch you here" although that can be sexy in a dirty talk way but just having that consent is one of the sexiest things in fic.
