Are Squibs admitted to Hogwarts? I mean, I know Filch works there, but did he ever take classes? I don't know, I'm genuinely curious; I would think it would be hard to, say, complete Charms or Transfigurations coursework if you can't use magic.

That being said, this fic does sound extraordinarily interesting. Being a Squib aside, Harry with a learning disability would definitely shed a different light on the story, as well as -- like you said -- the way others would treat him, and I'd really like to read it.

That said, I imagine Snape would be even MORE of a dick, and that just makes me . . . >(

Maybe they'd admit Harry because he's special and just a late bloomer and all those other excuses the Ministry could make about his 'condition'?

Or maybe there are disabilities where you can do magic, just not do it quite right. Dysmagica.

Yeah -- I could definitely see the Ministry trying to cover it up, because they'd want Harry to look like the hero the Wizarding World expected him to be. =/

Dysmagica is genius, though. Hmm, I wonder how it would work? Maybe you'd be trying to do one spell, but would accidentally cast another? Like, saying "Lumos" would result in an Expelliarmus, and saying "Aquamenti" would cause a stream of fire instead.

Maybe spells could be accidentally combined? Words vs. intent?

Would their be coaching classes designed to assist? Or would wizarding world be oblivious to such disabilities?

Honestly, I hope Squibs don't go to school at Hogwarts. I imagine it'd be really fucking depressing.

Yeah. Just look at how bitter Filch is, and he just works there. I can only imagine how it would feel for someone who went there to learn . . . only to not be able to learn anything because of . . . yeah, you know. :/

They're not. I could swear there's a line where Neville or someone is surprised to get his Hogwarts letter. But even if not there would be no way they'd admit one since nearly all the classes involve magic and it's suggested wizards pretty much pretend squibs don't exist.

his family thought he might be a squib so a few of his uncles kept trying to scare magic out of him. One of them was dangling him out a window by his ankles but accidentally dropped him, but Neville bounced down the street. Turned out he had the spark after all, he was just a late bloomer.

(...I'm proud I remembered that story)
