I found it very amusing that a lot of the mainline reviews commented on how slashy it was and that if it was brokeback eagle, then the character motivations would have made so much sense.

I think the Eagle is one movie you don't need slash googles for, cause it's just right there! :)

I don't even think slash goggles are required for this movie. It's just there and not that subtle! That being said, your dad sounds cool :)

I know for a fact I've given both my parents slash (and femslash) goggles. And also general perverted goggles. Forget going to hell in a handbasket, I'm going there on a fucking bullet train.

I always know that a movie is REALLY slashy when my brother, who knows that I like slash but usually thinks my pairings don't make much sense, comments on how happy this or that character must have made me. As the others said, you really don't need slash goggles to get that vibe from The Eagle, the movie was pretty much a gay romance. People in the cinema were commenting on it when i watched it.
