yeah, but it's a fucking amazing song from that OST. no need to feel ashamed.

...I'm not sure why being from a video game should lessen its ability to evoke an emotional response. There's songs from things I've never seen that can still make me cry. So this one happens to be from a video game. Why is that somehow bad?

[identity profile] aetter.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
So you like a really beautiful piece of music, nothing to be embarrassed about. :)

Videogame music won a Grammy award recently. 'Nuff said.

No need to be ashamed...it's an amazing soundtrack. And the game has a great story, so why should you feel like it shouldn't make you emotional?

To be honest it's one of my favorite songs. <3 That soundtrack.

You clearly haven't heard enough video game music if you're ashamed of it.

I have "A Dream Which Will Someday End" from Final Fantasy X on my iPod, and every single time it comes on, I sob like a baby.

Nothing to be ashamed of, anon! Music moves you, regardless of the origins!

[identity profile] nohaijiachi.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Same here. that song is so... Beautiful.

+1
(from a person who also bawls to, say, Sight of Spira and freaking Otherworld, so maybe it doesn't count)

And OP, this again? a) Music is music no matter where it comes from. b) It's tied to emotional stuff. c) People are socially allowed to cry over videogames since FF7 at the VERY least. Enjoy your 'sassin tragedy! :)

Earth and Ezio's Family always had me in tears after I finished the game, but now it only brings a bit of sadness, but gaining emotion from a song is something beautiful. It means that not only the story behind it got to you, but also the beauty. It's okay to be sad, even for something fictional. This is something one shouldn't be ashamed of.

[identity profile] frostoria.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
There's nothing to be ashamed of, OP. One of my favourite songs is from a BL game *points to icon* Video game music can be incredibly moving.

[identity profile] nohaijiachi.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I've used "heart" as my phone ring for a while, but then I had to change it because every time someone called me I didn't pick up the phone, because I don't want to stop the music XD
Ac2 OST is awesome, you should not be ashamed!

[identity profile] views.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
nothing to be embarrassed about. Jesper Kyd is a genius, and that OST is one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever seen. I get emotional over Venice Rooftops as well, mostly because it reminds me of the exhilarating feeling of spriting across the rooftops and the thrill of being chased.

Oh man, I just realized how much I love these games.

[identity profile] worst-hero.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
it does same to me. I just have to sit back when it's played, 'cuz i can't concentrate to anything else. It's just so damn beautiful and calming. Something about in that pure voice, it feels like it raises to sky.
