*shrug* I doubt people's sex drives (or their ~true love~ for eachother, however you want it, and instincts to want children take into account the true sense of not having any, and how very serious overpopulation can be.

so I'm betting you're going to get shit for the whole "shouldn't have babies" bit. individual people aren't responsible for the fate of humanity entirely, doncha know. longterm thinking hduuu

but if we're talking practically, it'd also be hard to enforce and potentially a human rights violation

I don't particularily want or like children though, so there's my biased skew.

But yes. You don't need to be with another person to be complete/happy, you don't need to be married to the person you're with to be fufilled, and there is nothing wrong with you if you don't have that or want it.

Most people would agree to that phrase straight up, but it's not like the media exactly supports this viewpoint. You can be smart and badass and whatever as long as you eventually settle down and have babies (preferably wearing something tight) is as progressive as it can seem to bring itself.

I actually don't agree with that phrase. To some people not being able to be married to the one you're with makes them extremely unhappy. Just signing over power of attorney isn't enough. Its one of the cruxes of the gay marriage issue.

Especially considering the number of cases where power of attorney was overruled by hospitals or other entities. Yes, the legality of that is questionable, but it doesn't really matter when someone's partner is ill or dying and bigots are preventing them from being together because they're not married.
