Also, regardless of cultural differences, I think it's silly to say there is only one way to fit into a gender identity; that you must have "this" and "that" to be so. Or to deny that there are folks who do fit into stereotypes irl. Are you also factoring in whether it's the gender role that actually could matter most here?
That said, HM does get lauded for being progressive or magnificent and whatnot, but I do think there's always room for better portrayal even if I love it.
