and guess what, in those conditions people still said, "let's soldier on and have children, and try to make a better world for those children to live in," and they did and they did and if they hadn't, you wouldn't be here.
So yeah, if you wanna feel bad that you have a level of uncertainty about the future that makes you uncomfortable about having children, go ahead and feel bad; that's legitimate. If you're actually trying to argue that the challenges you face are such that anyone in your situation would be irresponsible to grownup-up and get on with their lives, you're pretty much being naive and spoiled, if not projecting your own anxieties onto your hypothetical offspring to avoid owning them yourself.
